The first session is all about building safety and trust between you and the therapist. In the first session, we will explore your life and experience, talk about goals and treatment approaches. With collaboration, we will create a plan that will meet your specific needs. Please ask lots of questions, as your informed consent is most important. You should fully understand what is happening.

Individual $175 (including HST) for a 1-hr session
Couples $200 (including HST) for a 1-hr session

It’s a chance for you to get to know me and understand my style and personality. I will ask to know more about you and what your are hoping to get out of the work we do.

I'll take credit card now, but with the addition of 2.65% processing fee. -
I require a 24-hour cancellation notice. You will be charged the full amount of the standard fee (set out above) if you provide less than 24-hours’ notice or if you do not attend a scheduled appointment.

Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for Registered Psychotherapist (RP). If your plan indicates coverage for Registered Psychotherapist (RP), you may get reimbursed for sessions.
Please check your coverage as you are responsible for submitting your paid fees for reimbursement.
Also note that for some insurance companies, you may be required to obtain authorization from the insurance company before they will cover therapy fees. If you did not obtain authorization and it is required,you may be responsible for full payment of the fee.

Yes! I am registered as a Mental Health Provider with Indigenous Services Canada.
If you are a Indigenous person with a Status Card number, you are eligible for Non-Insured Health Benefits.
All Survivors of Indian Residential School, regardless of Indigenous status may also be eligible for mental health benefits. We can discuss your eligibility during your consultation.
For both programs, your sessions will be directly billed through a system called Express Scripts.

Anything discussed between you and your therapist is confidential. Some non-identifying information may be shared with your therapist’s clinical supervisor in order to ensure the client is receiving the best care possible. Notes may be taken during sessions will be kept on an encrypted and password protected program that only your therapist will have access to.
There are special circumstances when I may be obligated to release information you give without consent. These are:
If I believe you or someone else is in imminent danger of physical harm and information I have might prevent it
If a child aged 18 and under may be in need of protection
If I’m subpoenaed by a court of law or presented with a search warrant
If there are additional individuals with whom you would like your information shared (e.g.,family members, lawyers, other health care providers, etc.), you will be asked to complete and sign a Consent to Release and Exchange Information form. Even with this given consent, you can change or rescind consent at any time.
