Individual Therapy

If you have experienced trauma in your life, you know that it can be incredibly difficult to overcome its emotional and psychological impact.

Often we find ourselves wondering, “What’s wrong with me?” “Why is this so hard?” We rely on our strengths and resilience to get through and cope. But for some reason, our tried and true ways no longer seem to be working. At times you may find that there’s no hope, but I ask you to lend me your hope. Let me hold the hope for you as you realize that there’s nothing wrong with you, but there’s a lot that’s happened to you. Then when you are ready, you can take it back.

Individual therapy is a journey. Together, we will work to identify the ways in which trauma has affected your ability to thrive. By exploring your past experiences and understanding how they have shaped your current beliefs and behaviors, we can begin to develop a plan for healing and growth. Through my eclectic approaches, you can find freedom from the pain of the past, to understand how your parts have protected you and find empowerment in self and in relationships by knowing yourself more fully.

Please reach out for a consultation to see if I’m the right person to walk with you in this journey.

Couples & Family Therapy

Often couples therapy is the last resort. But it shouldn’t be. Imagine a relationship where you are so in tune with one another that all your needs are met, that conflict is mitigated by communication.

Deeper intimacy with our partners starts with a deeper awareness of ourselves and our unmet needs. In frustration, we stop noticing our partners and lose each other. As we learn to communicate with our partners, we become intentional about noticing each other. We start to see new things about our partners and rekindle the love that was there when you first met. Imagine the first sight, the first smell, the first taste, there were many firsts. You can experience that again!

Conflict is inevitable, but this is not about pitting one versus the other. Relationships are not easy, but can be easier. In therapy, your relationship is the client. Let’s find your common path and find deeper connection and intimacy - to find the relationship you’ve always wanted through the stages of life.

Groups & Workshops

As an educator and a facilitator, I am well trained and experienced in the language of developmental and generational trauma. In order to create a more compassionate community, we can work to creating the right training or support group for your organization’s growth and mental health needs.

Trauma-informed care is about implementing a best practice to improve client care within an organization. We change the language as our interventive focus shifts from “what’s wrong with you” to “what happened to you.”

This shift toward organizational/group health will help your employees become more client-centred, and compassionate to clients and each other.

Workshops that I have facilitated:

  • Trauma-Informed Care

  • Stress & Trauma

  • Stress and Self-Regulation: Somatic Release

  • Mental Health in the Workplace

  • Healthy Relationships

  • Boundaries

Connect with me to see what type of services I can offer. I will consult with you and tailor a program that will meet the needs of your organization.
