A Therapist Who Understands
I know how hard it is to find a therapist who truly listens. My journey toward healing is what led me here. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 25 years as a physiotherapist, working closely with people facing aging, injury, and loss. That experience showed me how emotional and physical struggles are deeply connected.
Today, I help individuals and couples facing challenges like anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, parenting stress, and low self-confidence. My goal is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that feel lost or hidden.
Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about walking alongside you while you rediscover your strength, voice, and the possibility of change.
Compassionate, Client-Centred Care
Therapy with me is a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without hiding, shrinking, or pretending. I believe that healing happens through genuine human connection. When we can safely explore the parts of ourselves we often keep tucked away, lasting change becomes possible.
My approach combines person-centred therapy, existential therapy, and emotionally focused therapy, and it is informed by internal family systems (IFS). These approaches aren’t about quick fixes. Instead, they invite you to look deeper—to get curious about the beliefs, patterns, and emotions shaping your life.
In our sessions, you can expect real conversations, thoughtful reflection, and moments of challenge mixed with compassion. Sometimes there may be tears. Often, there will be insight. There will always be room for you to be fully yourself.
You Don’t Have To Carry It Alone
A Few Things About Me
Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable. You might wonder if it will help. That’s why I focus on building trust and meeting you where you are.
Everything you share is held in confidence. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences and uncover what’s holding you back, at a pace that feels right for you.
Here’s a little more about me, so you can get a sense of who I am outside of therapy:
I’m married and a dad to two school-age daughters.
I stay active through surfing, skateboarding, and mountain biking.
I’m also an MMA fan and enjoy catching a fight to unwind.
Like everyone, I face challenges too. I believe in showing up honestly, both in my life and in my work.
